NorthWest Crossing Launches Intranet for Residents

NorthWest Crossing, one of Central Oregon's largest residential mixed-use communities, recently launched a residents-only intranet located at www.nwcrossingcommunity.com. This unique site was designed not only to facilitate communication among residents, but more importantly to further enhance the neighborhood's strong sense of community spirit—one of NorthWest Crossing's key missions.

Even before the launch of the new site, NorthWest Crossing had taken steps to reach the important mission by hosting special community events, publishing a quarterly neighborhood newsletter and through the design of the development itself.

"The intranet is another step in NorthWest Crossing's mission of creating a neighborhood with traditional neighborly values," said David Ford, general manager for NorthWest Crossing. "We designed this Web site as a service to our residents to make it even easier for them to interact and learn about one another. Since our launch, we have received positive feedback and our residents are participating in making this the interactive community-building tool it was meant to be."

The secure intranet site will feature:

  • Neighborhood announcements
  • Events calendar
  • Classified ads
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Community address book
  • Email bulletins
  • Recipe exchange
  • Photo gallery that will allow residents to submit their own photos
  • Surveys
  • Documents

The intranet will be available to both owners and renters residing in NorthWest Crossing, through the use of a unique username and password. Located at www.nwcrossingcommunity.com, the site is already seeing a high number of return logins. NorthWest Crossing resident Aimee Chiapetta says it best: "The intranet site is very well done and will be a great resource for us."
