NorthWest Crossing Holds Special Activities During COBA Tour of Homes July 20-22 and July 27-29
NorthWest Crossing, Bend's largest mixed-use community, is planning many special activities in conjunction with the Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) Tour of Homes, being held July 20-22 and July 27-29. Five homes within the community are featured on the COBA Tour, and 12 more will be open for viewing by visitors.
Compass Park, a five-acre circular park that is centrally
located within NorthWest Crossing, will be the hub for the
weekends' events. The public is invited to come share in the
festivities. The park can be reached by turning onto N.W.
Crossing Drive south from Shevlin Park Road or east from Mt.
Washington Drive on Bend's west side.
Saturday, July 21
Noon: Free Ice Cream from Ben and
Jerry's will be served while supplies last.
1-3 pm: Bend Elks. Come get free
tickets for the August 3rd Bend Elks game, sponsored by
NorthWest Crossing. Homer, the Bend Elks mascot, and two
uniformed players will be at the park for photos and to give
away tickets.
2-2:30 & 4-4:30pm: JD & The K9
Kings, two 30 minute shows. These shows mix music,
costumes, comedy, audience participation, agility, Frisbee,
superhero appearances and high-flying trick dogs.
4:30-6:30 p.m. Live Music provided by
Masala Mostest. Get groovy with Julianne Southwell on
violin, Mark Ransom on guitars and vocals and Pat Pearsall
holding it down on electric bass. Fun-loving, summertime
sounds.
Saturday, July 28
Noon: Free Ice Cream from Ben and
Jerry's will be served while supplies last
2-2:30 & 4-4:30 pm: JD & The K9
Kings, two 30 minute shows.
4:30-6:30 pm: Live Music provided by
Haywire. The slammin' jammin' dance groovers Haywire
are fronted by Haymaker alumni Peter Heithoff and J. Patrick
Lombardi. Come listen to your favorite covers and original
sounds.
Throughout both Saturdays during the tour, visitors can hop on
cruiser bikes which will be available for free, enjoy the
weather and ride around the neighborhood to view the open
homes. In addition, there will be several giveaways and prizes
for adults and kids alike.
